Our Tanzania safari and adventure experts craft personalised, tailor-made itineraries — just for you.
Zanzibar is no longer just a post-safari add-on; it is a world-class destination that demands its own dedicated exploration. As the local authority at Tanzania Safari Experience, we have seen the archipelago evolve from a hidden spice island into a sophisticated retreat where ancient Swahili culture meets modern sustainable luxury.
Zanzibar vacation packages in 2026 focus on immersive, multi-sensory journeys that combine the historic winding alleys of Stone Town with the high-tide magic of the northern beaches and the regenerative tourism projects of the south.
These are sample itineraries. All our trips are tailor-made and fully customizable*. We’ll adjust every detail to suit your wishes, interests, and travel style. *Except for group trips

Zanzibar vacation packages are curated travel bundles including accommodation, airport transfers, and guided excursions. In 2026, these tours prioritize private dhow cruises, spice farm immersions, and ethical marine encounters across the archipelago.
When my team and I design a journey for our guests, we don’t just look at hotel stars. We look at the tides. Zanzibar is an island governed by the moon, and the “perfect” package depends entirely on whether you want to kite-surf in Paje or swim year-round in the deep turquoise waters of Nungwi.
Perfect for travelers who want a fast, comfortable safari without long road journeys.
Skip the long drives and fly straight from Zanzibar into Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations. In just a few hours, you go from white-sand beaches to the heart of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, or Tarangire—maximizing every moment on safari.
Our fly-in safaris are designed for travelers who value time, comfort, and real wildlife action. Land directly inside the park and start your game drive immediately, guided by experts who know exactly where to find the best sightings.
Experience seamless travel, breathtaking aerial views, and up to 30% more game viewing time compared to road safaris. Whether it’s a short 2-day escape or a 4-day deep safari, every itinerary is built for efficiency and unforgettable encounters.
Selecting the right area for your package is the most critical decision you’ll make.
| Region | Best For… | Sea Characteristic | Vibe |
| North (Nungwi/Kendwa) | Swimming & Nightlife | Non-tidal; deep water | Vibrant & Social |
| East (Paje/Jambiani) | Kitesurfing & Culture | Dramatic tides; shallow | Laid-back & Trendy |
| South (Kizimkazi) | Dolphins & Seclusion | Rugged & Natural | Wild & Authentic |
| Stone Town | History & Food | Harbor views | Bustling & Historic |
Zanzibar's beauty is deeply tied to the Indian Ocean. Understanding the tides—which can recede hundreds of meters—and the lunar cycle will help you plan perfect beach days and magical full moon evenings.
Experience the island’s top lodges—beloved for stunning locations, warm hospitality, and unforgettable sunsets. Your perfect Zanzibar stay starts here.
Our tours are top-notch but give you great value. The price we tell you upfront covers most of the costs for one person, like flights and all transfers.

EXCELLENT Based on 3 reviews Posted on Nico LVerified Safari May 2026 This company exceeded everything we’d hoped for. From the start, the tour operator had everything covered — a detailed itinerary laid out well in advance, quick responses to any questions, and a genuine attentiveness that made the whole thing feel effortless. The accommodation was seriously impressive. Not what I was expecting at all — comfortable, well-appointed, and luxurious. We also spent time right in the heart of the bush. A proper treat. The two people who really made this trip were our guide Mariki and photographer Agnes. Mariki’s knowledge of the bush and animal behaviour is something else — he always seemed to know exactly where to go, and his instincts paid off every single time. Agnes has a brilliant eye and captured shots we could never have got ourselves. As for the wildlife — we saw far more than we ever imagined we would. Elephants, lions, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippos — the lot. As a first safari, I couldn’t have asked for more. Would recommend without hesitation.Posted on Godson GVerified Great Experience with Tanzania Safari Experience We had an amazing safari with Tanzania Safari Experience, and honestly the whole trip was put together really well by Laurent and his team. From our first message to the last day, they were easy to reach, quick to reply, and clear about everything. The plan made sense, the timing was smooth, and we didn’t have to stress about anything. Uncle J was a big part of what made it special. He knows the parks incredibly well and seems to notice things before anyone else. He’d position the vehicle perfectly for photos and often got us to sightings before the crowds built up. We were lucky to see [your highlights: migration / lions / cheetahs / elephants / a crossing], and every drive felt exciting and different. The vehicle was comfortable and in good shape, and everything ran on schedule. If you’re looking for a well-organized safari with a great guide, I’d definitely recommend Tanzania Safari Experience.Posted on Chris HVerified An absolutely brilliant tour / travel company What can I say. How do you explain PERFECTION. I will try. From the outset of our trip Ramadhan and Laurent were excellent. We gave them our requirements and budget and they prepared a program that was outstanding. The whole safari went like clockwork. We were met and briefed by Ramadhan on our arrival and introduced to our driver and guide extraordinar Ngoi. We visited Tarangier, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and the Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar. Absolutely brilliant trip, we saw the most extraordinary game. All the accommodation arranged for us was magnificent, especially the tented camps, where we were visited by a lion and elephant, scary but exhilarating. So if you are looking for an unforgettable experience look no further than Laurent and Ramadhan from Tanzania Safari Experience. They truly put clients first and foremost and deliver on their promises. Cheers from a very satisfied Chris and Terri HarveyVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Yes, Zanzibar remains one of the safest destinations in East Africa. Standard travel precautions apply, especially in crowded markets, but the island thrives on hospitality. Our team at Tanzania Safari Experience provides 24/7 support to all our guests.
The dry seasons from June to October and December to February offer the best beach weather. However, the "green season" (March to May) offers incredible value and fewer crowds if you don't mind the occasional tropical afternoon rain.
Most international travelers require a visa for Tanzania, which covers Zanzibar. You can apply for an [link to external authority: https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/ e-visa] online before arrival to save time at the airport.
Absolutely. We frequently organize short bush-to-beach hops. You can fly from Zanzibar to the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater in under 2 hours.
We recommend sticking to bottled or filtered water provided by your resort. Zuri Zanzibar uses a high-tech filtration system, but for excursions, always carry your own reusable bottle filled with treated water.
Zanzibar can be both budget-friendly and expensive, acting as a flexible destination where daily costs range from $40–$70 for backpackers to over $200+ for luxury travelers. While local food and transport are affordable, imported goods, western-style hotels, and tourist-centric tours/transfers often hike prices, making it costlier than Southeast Asia but cheaper than the Seychelles.
You'll be happy to know that both men and women can wear shorts to Zanzibar, as long as you stay mindful of Zanzibar's local customs. Wear knee-length shorts or capris with loose-fitting tops to ensure a respectful experience in Zanzibar.
