Day 1: The Gateway to the Spice Island

For your first day, we recommend staying in Stone Town. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the soul of the island. After checking in, take a late afternoon walk to Forodhani Gardens.
Pro-Tip: Skip the standard “Zanzibar Pizza” tourist trap for a moment and look for the vendors selling Urojo—a tangy, mango-based flour soup topped with crispy bhajias and skewers. It is the true breakfast of champions (and late-night locals) in Zanzibar.

The Mnemba Atoll (The Right Way): Instead of joining a crowded “sharing boat,” we arrange a private dhow. This allows you to reach the reefs by 8:30 AM, beating the 10:00 AM rush of boats from Nungwi.
