Terms and Conditions – Tanzania Safari Experience

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, services, and use of the website operated by Tanzania Safari Experience, incorporated as Africa TS Experience Limited, a company limited by shares registered in Tanzania (Reg. No. 190524418, TIN: 190-524-418).

By booking a safari or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

To confirm any safari booking, a 30% deposit of the total trip cost is required.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the safari
  • Payments can be made via approved payment methods provided by us
  • Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit is received

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of your booking.

2. Pricing & Inclusions

All safari prices are quoted in USD unless stated otherwise.

Prices typically include:

  • Accommodation as stated in the itinerary
  • Park fees and government taxes
  • Professional driver-guide
  • Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle
  • Meals as specified

Prices do not include:

  • International flights
  • Visa fees
  • Travel insurance
  • Tips and personal expenses
  • Optional activities

Prices are subject to change due to:

  • Government tax increases
  • Park fee adjustments
  • Currency fluctuations

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing.

The following charges apply:

  • 45+ days before travel: Deposit is non-refundable
  • 25–28 days before travel: 50% of total cost is non-refundable
  • 18–20 days before travel: 65% of total cost is non-refundable
  • 10 days or less: 100% non-refundable

No refunds will be issued for:

  • No-shows
  • Late arrivals
  • Unused services during the safari

4. Changes & Amendments

Changes requested by clients may incur additional costs.

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Availability of accommodations

We will always aim to provide alternatives of equal value.

5. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

All clients are strongly advised to have comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation
  • Medical emergencies
  • Evacuation (e.g., AMREF Flying Doctors)
  • Personal belongings

We are not responsible for any losses that could have been covered by insurance.

6. Health & Safety

Clients must:

  • Ensure they are medically fit for travel
  • Inform us of any health conditions in advance
  • Follow instructions from guides at all times

We prioritize safety, but wildlife safaris involve inherent risks.

7. Liability Disclaimer

Tanzania Safari Experience shall not be held liable for:

  • Injury, illness, or death
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Delays or disruptions caused by third parties
  • Events beyond our control (force majeure), including:
    • Weather
    • Natural disasters
    • Government restrictions
    • Strikes

All activities are undertaken at the client’s own risk.

8. Third-Party Services

We work with lodges, airlines, and other service providers.

We are not responsible for:

  • Their actions or omissions
  • Service interruptions beyond our control

9. Website Use

All content on this website is owned by Tanzania Safari Experience.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission
  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Any disputes shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
